What to see?
In Lloret de mar
Santa Clotilde
This wonderful garden was landscaped in a setting of great beauty on top of a cliff with breath-taking views over the sea, and it is a fine specimen of the spirit that animated the Noucentista movement in Catalonia - an early twentieth-century movement for intellectual and aesthetic renewal that found a distinguished spokesman in the writer Eugeni d'Ors. The Santa Clotilde gardens were designed in the manner of the dainty yet austere gardens of the Italian Renaissance by Nicolau Rubió i Tuduri at the age of twenty-eight, when he was still brimming over with admiration for his master in the art of landscape gardening, Forestier.
Waterworld
Water World is the best water park on the Costa Brava, one of the most touristic areas of Spain and in Europe with unique attractions: amazing rides, wave pools, Speed Furious, Speed Slides, Hurricanes, and the fantastic soft tracks. A set of attractions aimed at both young and adult audiences.
Modernist Cemetery
Not a very usual place to visit, but it will definitely surprise you by the really impressive architecture.
Dona marinera
A statue of the woman in the beach of lloret de mar . A woman is looking to the see waiting for her beloved to come back from the sea. Also from there you can go to a really nice cafeteria Cala Banys ( just cash accepted there)
Parish church Sant Roma
It appeared here in those immemorial times when the words "hotel" or "promenade" did not appear in the dictionaries of local nationalities, and played a double role. Firstly, it was a traditional object of worship, and secondly, it was a protective place where local residents hid during the attack of filibusters. In those years, she didn't look quite the same as she does today. Everything changed at the beginning of the 20th century. When the architect Bonaventura Conill I Montobbio created something fabulous from its facade, in which the winds of Muslim, Byzantine traditions and a touch of Renaissance can be easily guessed, which wandered in the master's head and did not give him rest. As a result, numerous mosaics of its facades and domes transformed the church and gave it a kind of magical candy look.

Tossa de mar
The magnificence of the Tossa de Mar Old Town, also known as Vila Vella, will take your breath away when you step foot in this medieval walled town. The Old Town is the only example of a walled medieval town still standing on the Catalan coast.
With its cobblestone roads and narrow streets, you’ll feel as if you’ve walked back in time.
You will quickly come to realize, however, that Tossa de Mar is much more than a medieval town! Tossa de Mar has something for everyone.
In addition to exploring the medieval castle walls, you can swim or snorkel at your choice of beach, explore the local shops, or take a hike on one of the many walking trails.

Girona
Girona has the charm and magic of a large city, but also the friendly atmosphere of a small town. It has a wide range of tourist, cultural and historic attractions, and a rich social life, with events and popular festivals of great interest
The city still preserves an old Medieval district that extends up to the impressive cathedral, through the dark, narrow streets of the Old quarter, while more modern and organised part is at the other side of the river. Above the bank of the river Onyar is Girona's most famous image, formed by the pleasant colourful houses.
The Gothic cathedral of Santa Maria (11th-13th centuries) is Girona's most relevant architectural feature, though it is by no means the only one. There are many other examples of religious architecture, such as the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants (13th century), the convents of Sant Domènec (13th century) and Sant Josep (16th-17th centuries) or the churches of Sant Feliu (12th-16th centuries), Sant Nicolau (12th century) or Sant Daniel (11th century), among other buildings.
There are also examples of civilian architecture from other periods, such as the Turkish baths (12th-13th centuries), the Agullana house (14th-17th centuries), the old palace of Caramany (16th-18th centuries) or the Modernista Teixidor house (1918).
But Girona's attractiveness is not only limited to history or architecture. The Devesa Park is one of the most pleasant green urban spaces in Catalonia. The city's many museums complete a very comprehensive cultural offering. You can go there on bus from lloret de mar Bus station.
Besalu
A historic gem, which is full to the brim with character, Besalu is a magnificent example of a medieval town. Cobbled streets and facades and a wonderful bridge are the trademarks of Besalu. Located in the stunning province of Girona, Catalonia, the town is within a 35 minute drive to the coast. The length of the journey will depend on which beautiful Costa Brava beach town you choose to visit.
The stone, bricks and cobbles that make up the historic town of Besalú have been there for hundreds of years and the impressive architecture draws visitors from far and wide. Situated in the La Garrotxa region in the province of Girona, Besalú is a haven for history buffs, who flock in huge numbers to admire the many constructions and facades representing Romanesque, Gothic and medieval influences.
At one point, over a thousand years ago, Besalú was the capital of an independent state and although it no longer holds this status, it’s still an extremely valuable site. It has been carefully preserved as a key historical monument, so that it can be enjoyed by visitors and residents alike for many more years to come.
And there you can visit the biggest circus museum in europe
Rupit
Rupit is a charming mediaeval town dramatically nestled in a spectacular natural environment within the municipality of Rupit i Pruit. The stone used in the houses, the streets, the squares and the bridges in the town seem to converse with the craggy rocks and the forests of Collsacabra which give it context. Strolling aimlessly and discovering its nooks and crannies is like travelling four or five centuries back in time, on a journey which enables you to witness the true essence of local tradition.
Go for a walk through the stony streets of the old quarter and take in the most remarkable stone houses. It’s also a good idea not to leave without trying traditional food from Osona. Cross the hanging bridge and enjoy the views across the Rupit river.
Empuriabrava
Empuriabrava is a luxurious city situated on the Costa Brava in the municipality of Castello d’Empúries-Empuriabrava, a region that boasts medieval villages, beaches and a historical heritage of global importance. The city has about 25 kilometres of sailable waters which make it the largest residential marina in Europe.
Empuriabrava is is known as city of wind games, which is a competition during which anyone can showcase their flying skills. It's also an interesting city with sailable canals reminiscent of Venice. The history of the now modern and luxurious area started in 1968 with a group of visionaries who saw an opportunity in the originally swampy area for development. They fulfilled their dream of building large, comfortable, luxurious houses throughout the city with boats in front of every home. They also rebuilt the local factory. Every summer, Empuriabrava hosts close to 80,000 visitors who rent their dream holiday home on the water.
By renting a boat at one of the companies in town, you can explore the 25 kilometres of canals in an area of 500 hectares and navigate through the town. It's almost as if the pavement has been replaced by canals!
The marina of Empuriabrava is another perfect location for tourists as it has a number of award winning beaches such as Platja de Empuriabrava and Rubina Beach. It's closely located to other great natural areas such as the swamps of Aiguamolls de l’Emporda and the Natural Park Cabo de Creus.
Barcelona
When it comes to history, art, and architecture Barcelona delivers: There's Gaudí’s iconic Basílica de la Sagrada Familia, the Picasso Museum, and the Gothic Quarter. But look beyond the landmarks and busy mercados and you’ll notice how nature steals the show—the city’s literally surrounded by it. On one side you’ve got three miles of gorgeous sandy beaches that give the neighboring Balearic Islands a run for their money, and on the other, the Serra de Collserola mountains, home to Parc de Collserola—one of the biggest city parks in the world. It’s probably why bike culture’s big here: Over 180 miles of bike lanes makes it easy to get around the Catalan capital. Spend a low-key afternoon cruising the revamped La Rambla (you’ll have to walk your bike once you hit the pedestrian-only drag) and stop for tapas and sangria.
If you plan on visiting monuments such as Sagrada familia , Parc Guell you must buy tickets in advance as you will not be able to buy them on the spot.
